News - Canadian Fencibles and the Loyalist Fifes and Drums appearance

The Canadian Fencibles and the Loyalist Fifes and Drums were invited to appear at the Canadian Army Ball in Gatineau in 2013. We were to march in, play several pieces of period music, walk through the motions of loading, firing, reloading, firing, reloading, advancing and firing.

In addition we participated in the presentation of battle honours to three regiments (Queens York Rangers 1st American Regiment; Les Voltigeurs du Quebec; and Stormont, Glengarry, and Dundas Highlanders).

It was a moment that made each of us very proud to be part of another segment of Canadian history.

The video below is of the whole presentation and ceremony. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did that day.
